Since 1985, AWG has presented Excellence in Merchandising Awards to retailers for their individual and often unique efforts.
The purpose of these awards is to recognize retailers who’ve implemented innovative, creative, and thought provoking merchandising ideas, inspiring all AWG retailers to identify new ways of increasing sales and profits in their stores!
Every AWG member is eligible for an Excellence in Merchandising Award, regardless of store size, location, or length of time with AWG. Throughout the year we encourage stores to share their success stories so that we can recognize those members who demonstrate merchandising expertise.
Each AWG division recognizes Excellence in Merchandising winners in 10 categories (AWG Brands, Grocery, Produce, Floral, Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Event, and Marketing Campaign). One winner in each category is then chosen as the overall Excellence in Merchandising winner at the AWG Annual Meeting in March.
